P9 Notice of Coding email notifications will be sent to employers from the week commencing the 6th of February 2023 until the 5th of March 2023.
The P9 Notice of Coding advises that your employees’ coding for the tax year starting 6 April 2023 can be viewed within your PAYE Online Account. To get these emails make sure your email address is up to date.
When signing into your online account to view your P9 notices, make sure the correct tax year is selected from the dropdown, this will be 2023 to 2024. If P9 notices are not showing, refresh and check your account the following day.
HMRC expect paper P9 coding notices to arrive with employers on or around the 21st of March 2023
If you do not receive your paper P9 notices in time for the first pay period on or after 6 April 2023, you can request a duplicate by calling the HMRC Employers Helpline.
