Webinars for the fifth Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) grant are now available from HMRC.
Claiming the the fifth SEISS grant will be possible when the online claims service opens in late July. From mid-July, HMRC will be contacting people who may be eligible to let them know their personal claim date
You can claim the fifth grant if you think that your business profit has been impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19) between 1 May 2021 and 30 September 2021, and you meet the eligibility criteria.
To find out more about what this means for you, you can choose between attending live webinars, or follow the link to a pre-recorded version.
Places on the live webinars are limited.
The content is the same in both versions, covering the details of the scheme, who can apply, how much you may be entitled to, how to complete a turnover test, how to claim, and what happens after you’ve claimed.
On the live webinar only, you can also ask questions using the on-screen text box and download handouts giving detailed examples including links to more information.
You can also watch a short video about the new turnover test.
If you were not eligible for the fourth grant, will not be eligible for the fifth grant either as HMRC are using the same tax returns to determine eligibility for both grants. Guidance is now available on GOV.UK, search ‘Self-Employment Income Support Scheme’ for more information.
